Talent Acquisition Lead
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale a high-performing recruitment function within a fast-growing global organization.
You will combine people leadership with hands-on recruiting expertise, supporting your team while driving successful hiring outcomes directly.
The position requires a balance of strategic guidance, operational excellence, and deep recruiting knowledge across complex hiring processes.
You will coach recruiters, improve workflows, and ensure candidates and stakeholders receive an exceptional experience.
Your impact will come from building strong talent pipelines, developing recruiting capabilities, and helping teams grow effectively.

Accountabilities
As a Talent Acquisition Lead, you will oversee a recruiter pod while remaining actively involved in delivering critical hiring initiatives. You will provide leadership, coaching, and operational direction to ensure recruiting teams perform effectively while maintaining high standards across the entire candidate journey.
- Take ownership of a recruiting pod by ensuring team focus, productivity, prioritization, and successful delivery against hiring goals.
- Balance people leadership responsibilities with hands-on recruiting execution, managing complex and senior searches directly.
- Translate broader talent acquisition objectives into clear priorities, expectations, and actionable goals for team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings focused on performance, development, pipeline health, and career growth.
- Review and improve recruiting practices across sourcing, outreach, candidate engagement, interview processes, and stakeholder communication.
- Coach recruiters on recruiting strategy, stakeholder management, sourcing techniques, and professional development.
- Support continuous improvement of hiring processes, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a strong candidate experience.
- Identify and escalate performance or team-related challenges while partnering with leadership on solutions.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiting professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to deliver hiring results while developing others. You should have deep expertise across the recruitment lifecycle and the ability to balance individual contributor responsibilities with team management.
- 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or executive search environments.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a recruiting team, pod, or similar talent function.
- Demonstrated success managing a personal recruiting workload while supporting the growth and performance of other recruiters.
- Strong knowledge of the full hiring lifecycle, including sourcing strategy, outreach, pipeline management, interviewing, and candidate experience.
- Proven ability to coach recruiters and improve recruiting quality through feedback and mentorship.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across different teams and functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to set expectations clearly and address challenges proactively.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing responsibilities effectively.
- Empathetic and collaborative leadership style focused on developing people through trust, guidance, and example.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a focus on results and continuous improvement.
