MrQ - we're an awesome, award winning online casino launched in 2018. We're big on tech, big on performance and most of all - big on fun. Over the years, we have experienced explosive growth - which means we need more rock stars to join our quest for total world domination.

This is a hybrid role based in either St Albans (UK), Malta or Gibraltar, with an expectation of working from the office two days per week.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the Talent function while remaining highly hands-on with recruitment.
  • Personally recruit senior, leadership and business-critical roles, including proactive sourcing.
  • Hold the hiring bar, balancing hiring speed with hiring quality to ensure every hire meets our technical standards, culture and values.
  • Partner with hiring managers, providing market insight and influencing hiring decisions.
  • Coach and develop the Talent team, raising the quality and consistency of hiring.
  • Own and evolve MrQ's employer brand, helping attract exceptional talent and strengthening our position as an employer of choice.
  • Continuously improve recruitment operations through better processes, workflows, automations and AI-powered solutions.
  • Collaborate across the business to support hiring, workforce planning and wider People initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of technical recruitment experience across the UK and Europe, with a strong track record of hiring senior and hard-to-fill technical talent.
  • At least 2 years of people management experience, leading and developing a recruitment or talent team.
  • Excellent sourcing, stakeholder management and closing skills, with the confidence to challenge and influence when needed.
  • A strong operational mindset, with experience improving recruitment processes, systems and team efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Lovable, Replit or similar to automate work and build practical solutions.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach, with a strong belief in building an in-house recruitment function and using agencies only when genuinely needed.
