Talent Acquisition Manager, London & South East Region

The key to attracting the right talent to your organisation is clarity. Being clear about what the role entails. Being clear about what we’re looking for. Above all, it’s about making it clear why you should consider applying.

So, we’ll practice what we preach!

Why apply to be a Talent Acquisition Manager at Oasis Community Learning?

Our purpose: We’re an inclusive employer with a deep commitment to our purpose, so this opportunity will suit someone who’s genuinely interested in what we do. OCL is one of the UK’s largest multi-academy trusts. We’re passionate in our belief that all children, regardless of background, deserve access to a high quality, holistic education to help them reach their full potential. So, if you’re someone who’s up for a challenge and want greater personal and professional fulfilment in your working life, then OCL could be the place for you.

Scope to impact: Having established our TA team less than 12 months ago we’ve already taken great strides to delivering a more proactive, effective, customer and quality orientated service to the 56 academies and central service teams we support. But there’s still much to do, and the education sector is quite unique. So, it may take a little time, but this is a chance to be part of a wonderful team that’s serious about customer service and continuously improving our delivery.

Get close to your stakeholders: Building effective relationships with academy and central function leadership is critical to success in this role. There is a significant opportunity to play a positive and influential role with a community that places a high priority on hiring ‘right’, so it’s important to get to know them. You’ll ‘own’ the end-to-end delivery of recruitment, offering advice and giving hands on support.

Personal accountability and team collaboration: You’ll operate with a high level of independence to support your designated region and central functions and also collaborate closely with a motivated team. You’ll be empowered to manage your workload and deliver the best outcomes, but able to plug into a supportive TA team and broader network colleagues as well. You’ll also be able to collaborate or lead on project work. We operate hybrid working arrangements, so you’ll mix working in Head Office and visiting school sites in your region.

It’s a rewarding future: we offer a competitive salary and package including a very generous pension contribution. We actively invest in personal learning and development, and within OCL and the wider Oasis Group, we can offer broad, meaningful career opportunities. Above and beyond the core delivery of day to day hiring, you’ll also get the chance to lead or be part of improvement projects as we look to continually develop our service provision.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
