Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities in the Business

The Talent Acquisition team at Kainos are responsible for end-to-end delivery aligned to hiring demands across the UK & Ireland, Europe, and North America, focusing on direct sourcing channels to provide a best-in-class candidate experience in the most cost-effective way.

As a Talent Acquisition Partner (Senior Associate), you will collaborate closely with team members to manage the attraction and acquisition of high-calibre talent, delivering an exceptional candidate experience and acting as a brand ambassador for recruitment—both internally and externally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering against recruitment plans:

    • Support the recruitment delivery plan aligned to commercial priorities and workforce planning.

    • Understand delivery demands across locations and capabilities, working with the Lead, team and stakeholders to execute hiring strategies for permanent experienced hires.

  • Ensuring best-in-class execution:

    • Strive to deliver a globally consistent, value-aligned candidate experience in line with governance frameworks.

  • Managing costs effectively:

    • Ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery through a ‘direct first’ approach.

    • Manage supplier pipelines when required, minimising costs while staying aligned with timelines.

  • Reporting, analytics, and data-driven decisions:

    • Use Management Information (MI) and reporting to collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring recruitment stays on track against SLAs.

    • Identify blockers or scheduling issues early and escalate them to avoid delays in time-to-hire.

  • Driving talent pipeline awareness:

    • Develop strategies for brand awareness and talent attraction, leveraging Talent Attraction techniques and maintaining engagement with candidates via CRM systems.

    • Represent Kainos as a brand ambassador both internally and externally, actively contributing knowledge through personal brand profiles (e.g., social channels) and sharing best-practice techniques.

  • Tooling and technological expertise:

    • Stay updated on innovations in recruitment tooling and ATS platforms.

    • Master in-house and market-leading tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Boolean search techniques) to access diverse talent pools efficiently.

  • Collaborative teamwork:

    • Participate in knowledge sharing of best practices and market insights with colleagues and stakeholders.

    • Support team-wide and People projects as needed while acting as a strategic advisor to your aligned business capabilities.


Minimum (Essential) Requirements

  • Educated to degree level.

  • Experienced IT recruiter with:

    • A background in in-house Talent Acquisition or as a technical lead recruiter in an agency environment.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills:

    • Ability to communicate and present effectively with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Ability to manage sourcing strategies and oversee external suppliers when required.

  • Confident using MI to drive data-driven commercial discussions and meet recruitment KPIs.

  • Proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement within end-to-end processes to enhance operational efficiency and best practices.

  • Experience in fast-paced recruitment environments, supporting Talent Acquisition strategies.

  • Commercial acumen and knowledge of market trends and talent sourcing techniques.

  • Advanced technical skills in:

    • Recruitment tooling (e.g., LinkedIn, Boolean search).
    • ATS systems.
    • MS Office suite.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
