Talent Acquisition Specialist (Commercial & Corporate – Healthcare Focus)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced recruiter on a 6-month temporary contract, based at our UK HQ in Maidenhead. This position will focus on recruiting for commercial and corporate roles, with a strong emphasis on sales positions across various business divisions.
As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will collaborate closely with hiring teams and Business HR to deliver end-to-end recruitment solutions, from initial requirement capture through to offer negotiation and hire.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle recruiting using Abbott’s ATS (Workday) and CRM systems:
- Define requirements collaboratively with hiring managers
- Manage interviews, offer negotiation, and hiring process
- Sourcing strategy development:
- Leverage cost-effective channels such as Abbott’s careers page, job boards, social media, referral programs, and virtual job fairs
- Utilise internal databases and candidate forecasting tools
- Structured interview processes:
- Ensuring competency-based assessments align with Abbott’s standards
- Data and reporting:
- Maintain Technical features of ATS (Workday) for reporting needs
- Provide proactive market research and talent insights
- Problem-solving & stakeholder engagement:
- Act as a trusted talent advisor, building credibility with hiring managers and candidates
- Partner with Business HR, hiring teams, and HR centres of excellence

Essential
- University degree or equivalent professional experience
- Proven commercial recruiting experience (ideally combining agency and in-house roles)
- Direct sourcing expertise: Deep network and strong sourcing tools skills
- Experience supporting sales and/or corporate leadership roles
- Ability to deliver high-quality candidate slates in a fast-paced environment
- Interviewing and assessment skills to evaluate technical strengths and behavioural fit
- Networking endowment: Ability to engage with candidates at all levels (HRBP, hiring managers, senior executives)
Desirable
- Prior industry experience in healthcare/medical devices realms
- Cultural fit: Enthusiasm for Abbott’s mission, ability to sell the brand to candidates
- Process ownership: Proven track-record of autonomous recruitment delivery
