Interim Talent Acquisition Specialist - Construction, Engineering or Utilities
Location: Warwickshire
Working pattern: Hybrid, with three days per week on site
Day rate: £200 per day, inside IR35
Contract: Initial three-month contract
We are supporting a leading engineering organisation with the appointment of an experienced Interim Talent Acquisition Specialist.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end recruitment role, responsible for delivering high-quality recruitment campaigns across a range of volume, specialist, and niche vacancies. You will work closely with People Partners, hiring managers, and senior stakeholders to understand current and future workforce requirements and ensure the business attracts and secures the best available talent.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial briefing through to offer and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers and People Partners to understand current and future resourcing requirements.
- Provide specialist advice on sourcing strategies and the most effective routes to market.
- Conduct detailed vacancy briefing meetings with hiring managers.
- Write engaging and inclusive job adverts and promote vacancies across appropriate channels.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, and recruitment partners.
- Review, assess, and qualify candidates against role requirements.
- Manage CV sifting, shortlisting, and candidate presentation.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates and stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate interview feedback, offer management, and salary negotiations.
- Ensure all recruitment activity remains compliant with internal processes, employment legislation, and DEI principles.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes and the overall candidate and stakeholder experience.
- Support wider recruitment projects and initiatives as required.

Experience required
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- Strong end-to-end recruitment experience within an in-house or agency environment.
- Previous recruitment experience within engineering, utilities, or construction.
- Proven experience managing multiple vacancies and candidates simultaneously.
- Strong proactive sourcing and candidate attraction experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
- The ability to build credible relationships with senior stakeholders, hiring managers, and external suppliers.
- Experience managing offers and negotiations.
- A good understanding of UK employment legislation and recruitment compliance.
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment.
A recruitment or HR qualification, such as REC or CIPD, would be advantageous but is not essential.
