Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist proactively builds talent pipelines by sourcing candidates, networking with hiring teams, and leveraging digital platforms to streamline recruitment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting resume searches, engaging with active/passive candidates, and participating in recruitment events.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to align talent needs with strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Administering recruitment workflows, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion while improving HR efficiency.

Role Description

Key duties include:

  • Sourcing & Networking – Actively engage candidates via email, LinkedIn, and career fairs.
  • Candidate Development – Maintain an updated database of active/passive candidates.
  • Technology Utilisation –
    • Proficiency in ATS platforms (e.g., iCIMS) for applicant tracking and workflow management.
    • Experience with MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization).
    • Expertise in video conferencing platforms for virtual hiring events.
  • Collaboration – Work closely with hiring managers to refine recruiting strategies.
  • Event Participation – Attend career fairs and recruitment events to expand reach.
  • Administrative Support – Handle confidential information and process documentation efficiently.

Skills & Experience

Core Requirements (Intermediate Level)

  • Strategic Sourcing – Expertise in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent through competitive market knowledge and recruitment marketing.
  • HR Technology – Proficient in HRIS platforms, ATS (iCIMS/Applicant Tracking Systems), and payroll systems.
  • Analytica Tools – Fluency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and BI/visualization.
  • Virtual Engagement – Confidence in video conferencing platforms (Zoom/Teams) for remote interviews and hiring events.

Additional Qualifications

  • Education/Experience
    • Completed Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent professional experience).
    • 2–4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
  • Mobility
    • Ability to travel 10% for SHI events (UK offices, partner sites, or client locations).
