About the Role
Located within the Corporate Resources and Business Improvement directorate, led by Dianne Tranmer, this role is part of a key team responsible for:
- People Function
- Facilities Management
- Digital Experience Unit
- Technology Group
- Information Governance
- Executive Support Team
- Leadership of all shared services across the GLA Group
The Talent Adviser will play a critical role in driving talent strategy, leadership development, and organisational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be tasked with:
- Advising on strategic talent planning, including succession planning and leadership development.
- Supporting employee engagement, performance management, and organisational change initiatives.
- Working closely with senior leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.
- Enhancing the attractiveness and effectiveness of talent programs in the organisation.
- Collaborating with teams to ensure efficient delivery of HR services and continuous improvement in business practices.
Qualifications and Experience
You should have:
- A strong background in HR, talent development, or organisational development.
- Experience in strategic HR advisory, change management, or employee engagement.
- A track record of delivering high-impact talent initiatives.
- Knowledge of workforce planning and competency frameworks.
- An understanding of public sector HR practices, preferably within a central government or large municipal environment.
- Familiarity with the principles of inclusive leadership, equality, and diversity.
- Professional HR qualifications (e.g., CIPD) and workplace coaching capabilities are desirable.

Requirements
You must possess these essential criteria:
