Talent and Resourcing Advisor

Full-Time, 6 Months FTC

United Kingdom, Hybrid working (Knutsford, Preston, Aberdeen, Seething or Glasgow)

The Role

Join a dynamic, high-impact Talent and Resourcing team at James Fisher and Sons, where we play a central role in shaping the organisation’s global hiring strategy. As part of our in-house function, our Talent and Resourcing Advisors deliver a proactive, value-driven service that goes beyond recruitment, partnering closely with the business to attract, engage, and retain top talent worldwide.

Due to a particularly busy period, we’re looking for additional support to help drive our ambitious agenda. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the full talent lifecycle, identifying, sourcing, and managing talent pipelines aligned to JFS goals and future growth. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your expertise will directly influence hiring outcomes across diverse global markets.

Experience in in-house recruitment is highly beneficial, and exposure to engineering and international hiring will set you apart. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while working alongside a team committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing?

  • Support end-to-end recruitment across both high-volume and specialist roles.
  • Partner closely with the Talent & Resourcing team to deliver a tailored recruitment service.
  • Coach and support hiring managers to build recruitment capability and interview skills.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HRBPs to understand hiring needs.
  • Create engaging job adverts and source candidates across multiple channels, including screening and selection.
  • Drive talent initiatives: market mapping, talent pooling, headhunting, and succession planning.
  • Train and guide managers on Talent & Resourcing processes.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand future talent needs.
  • Manage external supplier relationships, including the PSL.
  • Deliver innovative attraction campaigns to secure top talent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
