We are now recruiting for a Talent Consultant to join the HAAS Talent Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting recruitment interviews with prospective candidates who have a health professional background and who are applying for the Functional Specialist role. In this role, you will assess their skills and experience using agreed and defined criteria. In addition to recruitment interviews, the Talent Consultant will process candidates within our Applicant Tracking System through online assessment and will maintain our databases, supporting the wider HAAS Talent Team. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, with 2-3 days spent working from our Birmingham Assessment Centre.

Job Description: What you'll be doing

  • Conducting professional recruitment interviews, ensuring all candidates receive an excellent candidate experience
  • Capturing accurate and comprehensive responses throughout the interview and scoring responses against a pre-defined matrix
  • Maintaining accurate records to include updating the interview schedule, offer tracker and applicant tracking system
  • Processing candidates within our ATS system into IT tests, reviewing scores and progressing candidates accordingly.
  • Assist the wider recruitment team when interview slots are unfilled
  • Attend daily and weekly team meetings
  • Remain compliant with all Capita HAAS Online Mandatory Training

What we are looking for

  • Previous recruitment interviewing experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • Ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
  • Reliability, self-motivation and strong time-management skills
  • The ability to produce accurate written records whilst listening
  • Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

About HAAS

The Health Assessment Advisory Service (HAAS) arranges and carries out assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Communities (DfC). The purpose of the assessment is to understand how an illness or disability affects a person’s daily life. After the assessment, the DWP/DfC makes the decision as to whether the individual will receive any benefits. The Health Assessment Advisory Service is delivered on behalf of the DWP & DfC by Capita.
