Dalkia UK are looking for a full time Talent Development Manager to join our HR team.

This will be a hybrid role with a requirement to travel to London when required

Job Purpose:

To lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of the Dalkia Facilities Talent Management and Learning & Development programmes. The role is responsible for embedding talent, succession and capability frameworks that support business performance, workforce planning and employee development.

The Talent Manager will utilise data, technology and workforce insights to identify capability gaps, develop future talent pipelines and support our transition towards a skills-based approach to talent and development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Talent Management & Succession

  • Lead the administration and delivery of the annual talent review and succession planning process.
  • Support leaders to identify high-potential employees and future successors for critical roles.
  • Develop and maintain talent pools and succession pipelines across Dalkia Facilities.
  • Facilitate talent calibration discussions to ensure consistency and fairness.
  • Monitor succession readiness and talent risks, providing recommendations to the Head of Talent.
  • Support the development and deployment of career pathways and progression frameworks.
  • Promote internal mobility and career development opportunities across the Dalkia Facilities.

Learning, Development & Capability Building

  • Design and deliver learning and development programmes aligned to business priorities and capability requirements.
  • Support the develop of technical, professional and leadership development pathways.
  • Co-ordinate leadership and management development programmes across all levels of Dalkia Facilities.
  • Work with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and personal growth.
  • Ensure learning interventions deliver measurable improvements in capability and performance.
  • Support the development of skills-based development frameworks linked to organisational capability requirements.

Skills & Workforce Capability

  • Support the development and maintenance of organisational skills frameworks and skills data.
  • Help identify current and future skills gaps through workforce and talent analysis.
  • Contribute to workforce planning activities by providing insight into capability strengths, risks and development priorities.
  • Support the implementation of skills-based talent and development practices.
  • Develop programmes that build future capability in critical skill areas.

Leadership Development

  • Design and coordinate leadership development programmes that strengthen organisational capability.
  • Manage mentoring, coaching and talent acceleration initiatives.
  • Support emerging leader and high-potential development programmes.
  • Develop tools and resources that help leaders build high-performing teams.
  • Evaluate leadership programme effectiveness and recommend continuous improvements.

Early Careers & Future Talent

  • Support apprenticeship, graduate and early careers programmes.
  • Develop structured development pathways for apprentices and emerging talent.
  • Work with managers to improve retention, engagement and progression of early careers employees.
  • Build relationships with training providers and educational partners.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen future talent pipelines.

Talent Technology, Analytics & Innovation

  • Maximise the use of learning, talent and development technologies.
  • Support the optimisation of talent management and learning systems.
  • Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to enhance learning and talent processes.
  • Ensure talent and learning data is accurate, meaningful and accessible.

Talent Reporting & Insight

  • Produce regular talent, succession and learning dashboards.
  • Analyse trends relating to retention, capability, succession and internal progression.
  • Track and report on agreed Talent KPIs.
  • Use data and workforce insights to identify opportunities for improvement and inform future interventions.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to the Head of Talent and wider leadership teams.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with leaders, HR Business Partners and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent, succession and development matters.
  • Support managers in embedding talent and development practices across their teams.

Champion the importance of learning, career development and talent management throughout Dalkia Facilities.

Qualifications

This role will suit a wide-ranging candidate profile of varying levels of ability and experience.

Notwithstanding, the knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are as follows:

Essential

  • Significant experience within Talent Management, Learning & Development, Organisational Development or Workforce Capability.
  • Experience designing and delivering leadership and development programmes.
  • Experience supporting succession planning and talent review processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience using data and insights to inform talent and development decisions.
  • Strong project management and programme delivery capability.

Desirable

  • Experience of talent management, learning management or skills platforms.
  • Experience supporting skills-based workforce planning initiatives.
  • Knowledge of talent analytics and workforce planning methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI and digital learning technologies to improve outcomes.
