About the Role

The Talent Development Partner plays a critical role in bringing C&C’s Talent Development vision to life – providing clarity, confidence and capability across the organisation.

The Talent Development Partner acts as a strategic partner to Operations leaders and HR Business Partners, translating business priorities into capability, leadership and talent solutions. The role is accountable for building capability through leadership development, talent and succession planning, onboarding, learning academies, performance culture initiatives, and workforce development. The role uses organisational insight, capability assessments and talent data to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring Operations has the capability required to deliver business performance today and in the future.

This role is pivotal in helping to shift the organisation from reactive training to proactive capability building and driving a learning culture embedded in day-to-day work.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with Operational leaders and HR teams to identify capability needs, talent risks and development priorities across the business.
  • Design and deliver impactful leadership and management development programmes that build capability and support business performance.
  • Lead talent and succession planning activities, helping to identify, develop and retain future leaders.
  • Create and implement capability plans that support both immediate operational needs and long-term workforce development.
  • Facilitate workshops, development centres and talent reviews that drive engagement, growth and performance.
  • Support organisational change initiatives by developing solutions that strengthen leadership, collaboration and performance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning by promoting accessible, engaging and effective development opportunities.
  • Use talent, performance and learning data to evaluate impact, identify trends and provide actionable insights to business leaders.
  • Develop digital learning content and maximise the use of learning technologies to enhance the learner experience.
  • Ensure all talent development initiatives support diversity, inclusion and equitable career progression opportunities.

About You

  • Experienced Talent Development or Learning & Development professional with a track record of partnering with leaders to build capability and drive performance.
  • Skilled in leadership development, coaching, talent management and succession planning.
  • Strong facilitator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Data-driven and commercially minded, using insight to shape impactful development solutions.
  • Passionate about creating inclusive learning experiences and fostering a culture of continuous development.
  • Comfortable designing and delivering both face-to-face and digital learning solutions.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end, design and delivery of L&D programmes.
  • Experience of managing a learning budget.
  • Experience of using software to develop online and eLearning content.
  • Highly skilled interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of seniority and experience.
