The role
You will be responsible for overseeing talent management and professional growth for our Retail teams throughout the UK and Ireland.
Leading a dedicated team of up to 7 people, you will ensure our retail leaders have the skills and opportunities to thrive. Working collaboratively with Regional and Area Managers, you will identify rising talent and use targeted training methods to prepare them for their current and future roles within retail or the wider business.
This is a highly visible, flexible role that balances one to two days a week at our Head Office in Leicester with nationwide field travel to support your teams where they need it most.
What you'll take on
- Manage and mentor a nationwide team of up to 7 people ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality development initiatives.
- Oversee the management development strategy for all retail positions, up to and including the Area Manager level.
- Partner closely with Regional and Area Managers to spot potential and implement practical training strategies that build our future talent pipeline.
- Write and develop forward-thinking development programmes that look beyond our own walls to ensure our talent initiatives stay ahead of industry trends.
- Travel across the UK and Ireland to actively engage with field teams, while maintaining a consistent weekly presence at Head Office to collaborate with the wider business.

What you'll bring
- Solid experience in Learning and Development, with a strong emphasis on coaching and senior mentorship.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills, enabling you to effectively engage, inspire, and influence retail leaders.
- An innovative, commercial mindset with the ability to design programmes that anticipate future industry trends and deliver impactful results.
- Relevant coaching or training qualifications that demonstrate a commitment to best practices in talent development.
- A flexible approach to work, with the willingness to travel extensively nationwide while managing priorities at Head Office.
