About The Role
This new role supports the design, coordination, and delivery of the British Museum's talent development initiatives, with a focus on early and entry-level career pathways such as apprenticeships, internships, and work experience. The role also provides support to the Talent Acquisition team across all recruitment activities and projects.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to help shape how people grow, learn and thrive across the Museum. At its heart, this role is about unlocking potential - creating meaningful opportunities for people at every stage of their career and helping to build a culture where learning feels accessible, inclusive and genuinely empowering.
You'll play a key part in designing and delivering programmes that are purposeful, thoughtful and rooted in the real experiences of our people. You'll be central to bringing our new approach to life - supporting early and entry-level talent, strengthening management development, and providing thoughtful, end-to-end support throughout the recruitment journey.
About You
We're looking for someone who is naturally curious about people, how they develop, and the future skills that will shape the workplace. You'll bring knowledge of apprenticeships and UK levy frameworks, alongside an understanding of university and school engagement strategies. Equally, you'll bring calm organisation to complex ideas, enjoy building trusted relationships, and take real pride in making things happen with care, creativity and attention to detail.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
