We’re TIP Group – a proud Great Place to Work® – and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Tanker Technician to join our team.

Based at our Williams Tanker Services site in Morley, West Yorkshire, we are looking for an experienced technician to support the maintenance and repair of waste vacuum tankers and other tanker types.

The role is primarily mobile, operating from a fully equipped WTS service van to carry out repairs and maintenance at customer sites across the UK, using a fully kitted WTS/TIP MSU vehicle.

When mobile work is not required, the role is workshop-based at our Morley (Leeds) facility.

As a key member of the technical team, you will also act as an ambassador for our tanker products, including Cappellotto waste tankers, supporting product familiarisation and basic training both on and off site where required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • To inspect, service and repair tankers (primarily vacuum waste tankers) to a high maintenance standard. Pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, welding and diagnostics work will be undertaken.
  • Perform operational training and product familiarisation to customers and other stakeholders on tanker equipment.
  • Ensuring our tankers meet the highest safety and compliance standards
  • Provide high customer service levels whilst working to specified deadlines
  • To learn and become a subject matter expert on our Cappellotto waste tankers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
