22.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

The Thomas Hardye School is seeking to appoint an inspiring, motivational and compassionate Targeted Inclusion Mentor to support our SEND team and Year Teams within a busy secondary school environment. The successful applicant will work directly with SEND students and/or those who are disadvantaged. You will support students in year 9 - 11 to overcome a range of barriers to learning, motivate them to achieve their full potential, and off advice to their teachers to support the students to fully and effectively access learning opportunities.

The postholder will provide high-quality mentoring support to our students and liaise with their families, working closely with year teams and the SEND team. The role includes networking with pastoral support staff, teachers and external health and education professionals.

We Require Someone With

experience supporting SEND students in school. a good understanding of principles of development and learning processes and in particular, barriers to learning. developing knowledge of local authority services and national organisations that work with school to support SEND students. a dedication to, and thorough understanding of the processes involved in safeguarding children and young people. A commitment to inclusion and diversity. a relevant qualification at minimum Level 3, or equivalent sector experience and the willingness to undertake training and gain appropriate qualification.
