Description

We are looking for a talented Tax professional to join our growing team. This role is open to both Semi-Senior and Senior candidates, with responsibilities tailored to experience and providing clear progression opportunities.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to a varied portfolio of clients, supporting them in meeting their compliance obligations while building strong, trusted relationships. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

As part of the tax team, you will contribute to the delivery of an exceptional client service while supporting the wider team in achieving key deadlines and maintaining high technical standards.

Depending on your experience, you will take on increasing ownership of client work, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to process improvements across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an excellent level of service to a portfolio of clients, consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Prepare and/or review personal and corporate tax returns in line with internal procedures and statutory requirements
  • Ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact for tax-related queries
  • Dealing with tax compliance administration; checking statements of account, PAYE codes, general queries from clients
  • Dividend planning for company directors
  • Preparation of I & E accounts
  • Preparation of Tax Returns for individuals, partnerships and Trusts
  • Communicate effectively with clients, delivering clear and professional advice both verbally and in writing
  • Support senior team members in managing workflows, deadlines, and client expectations
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to more efficient ways of working
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal standards
  • Represent the firm professionally, both internally and externally, demonstrating a high standard of conduct and attitude

Additional Responsibilities (Senior Level)

  • Review work prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff in their development
  • Take greater ownership of client relationships and day-to-day portfolio management
  • Contribute to delivering the firm’s wider vision, including innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Requirements

  • ATT qualified or part-qualified or actively working towards this qualification (desirable).
  • Previous experience in preparing tax returns and managing a client portfolio is advantageous.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in tax, preferably within a practice environment

Additional Requirements

  • Experience working in a personal and/or corporate tax role within practice
  • Strong technical knowledge with a commitment to high-quality work
  • Working towards or qualified in a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ATT, CTA, or equivalent)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing knowledge
