Tax Advisor (Europe / Remote)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in corporate taxation, gained within international organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, including VAT and corporate tax.
  • Experience managing international tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax risk.
  • Experience working with tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing, M&A, restructurings, and international expansion.
  • Strong stakeholder management and people leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Management of all taxes across direct and indirect tax.
  • Working with external tax advisors to ensure all local corporate tax returns, claims, and elections are submitted on time.
  • Management of the relationship with various tax authorities.
  • Preparing group and entity corporation tax, deferred tax, computations, cash flows, and payment forecasts to aid statutory reporting, filing, and budget requirements.
  • Ownership of group tax reporting processes, including development of a tax risk framework.
  • Oversight over expansion into new territories, analyzing all relevant tax structuring and costs associated with new territories.
  • Supporting the Customer Company with M&A activity, reorganisations, and tax due diligence.
  • Ownership of indirect tax compliance and submission of relevant returns and statistical reports. Being responsible for managing the relationship with Tax authorities and consultants in relation to all taxes.
  • Support tax audits of a large multi-legal entity.
  • Responsibility for the annual tax provision workings and tax notes for the consolidated and the legal entities' statutory accounts.
  • Involvement in the preparation of legal entity statutory accounts under FRS102 and local GAAP and liaising with auditors and accounting teams.
  • Take ownership of Group’s implementation of transfer pricing and loan agreements and ensure they are effectively implemented and followed. Ensuring a master transfer pricing document is in place, with local jurisdictional transfer pricing documents.
  • Develop tax planning strategies and preparing relevant plans to support the business needs.
  • Provide support to the Group and its shareholder on tax aspects of restructurings or commercial contracts/arrangements.
  • Provide support to key stakeholders.
