We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality advisory services, and supporting the development of both clients and colleagues.

The successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of tax advisory work, providing commercially focused advice while ensuring an exceptional client experience. You will also play an active role in mentoring junior team members, contributing to business development initiatives, and working collaboratively across the wider firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of tax advisory projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients and ensuring queries are resolved efficiently.
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice, including succession planning, business sales and acquisitions, share schemes, and group restructuring.
  • Review tax advisory reports and technical work prepared by junior members of the team, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, working closely with colleagues to deliver an outstanding level of service.
  • Manage your client portfolio effectively, including fee negotiations, billing, and work-in-progress (WIP) management.
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members from Tax Trainee through to Senior level, helping to develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to provide integrated solutions for clients.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant developments to both clients and the wider team.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce clients to other specialist services, including Audit, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, and other advisory teams.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth through practice development activities such as writing technical articles, delivering presentations, networking, and supporting process improvements.
  • Maintain your technical expertise and professional development through ongoing CPD and relevant training.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
