Tax and Corporate Accountant

Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Tax and Corporate Accountant to join the finance function. This role will focus primarily on UK corporation tax compliance and tax accounting, with significant involvement in financial reporting, tax provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.

The successful candidate will support the Tax Manager in delivering accurate and timely UK tax compliance and reporting across the group, while also working closely with the wider finance team and senior stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with Big 4 audit and/or corporation tax experience looking to move into an in-house role with clear progression and exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • UK Corporation Tax
    • Prepare and review UK corporation tax computations for group entities, including supporting schedules and adjustments from statutory accounts
    • Assist with the preparation, review, and submission of UK corporation tax returns and associated filings
    • Calculate current and deferred tax positions in accordance with UK tax legislation and accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS)
    • Prepare tax provisions for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
    • Post tax-related journal entries accurately into the general ledger
    • Perform detailed tax balance sheet reconciliations, including deferred tax, current tax, and provisions
    • Liaise with external advisors, tax consultants, and auditors as required
    • Support responses to HMRC queries, information requests, and routine correspondence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
