Tax Director
Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward
About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to join our expanding tax team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced equity incentives specialist looking to assume a senior leadership position with a respected leader in the industry. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and growing our share reward and equity incentives offering, while working alongside a diverse and high-calibre client base.
With a client portfolio spanning venture-backed startups, owner-managed businesses, and established corporates, you will advise on a wide range of complex, commercially focused equity reward matters.
As a key senior leader, you will be responsible for people management, client development, and business expansion, with the ability to shape the strategic direction of our equity incentives services. Collaborating closely with the Senior Management Team, Tax Partners, and Directors, you will drive growth in our client portfolio, people development, and equity incentives capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the structuring and implementation of approved and unapproved share schemes, including:
- Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)
- Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)
- Growth shares
- Bespoke arrangements
- Advising clients on equity tax matters in acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations, with an oversight role in share reward tax due diligence (including sign-off)
- Building and maintaining long-term, high-value client relationships as a trusted business advisor
- Collaborating with senior management to develop and expand our equity incentives service line regionally and nationally
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring senior managers, managers, and trainees within the tax team
- Taking an active role in business development, cultivating and maintaining strong networks within the local and broader market

Requirements & Skills
- Qualified in tax accounting, law, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience in an equity incentives/share reward tax environment
- Commercial acumen with a passion for business development and client relationship growth
- Proven ability as a strong people manager and Growth Coach—excelling in team development and fostering high-performing cultures
- Optional but advantageous: Experience advising on complex equity transactions or advisory projects
