Tax Director
Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward
About this Role
We are looking to recruit an ambitious Tax Director – Equity Incentives & Share Reward to join our expanding tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced equity incentives specialist looking to take on a senior leadership position with a leading employer. You will play a key role in shaping and growing our share reward and equity incentives offering, working with a diverse and high-quality client base.
Working with clients ranging from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, high-growth companies to established corporates, you will advise on complex and commercially driven equity reward matters.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will have responsibility for people leadership, client development, and business growth, and will be able to influence the strategic direction of the firm’s equity incentives services.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team, Tax Partners, and Directors, you will focus on growing our client portfolio, developing our people, and expanding our equity incentives capability.
Responsibilities
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
- Leading on the structuring and implementation of approved and unapproved share schemes, including:
- Enterprise Management Incentives (EMI)
- Company Share Option Plans (CSOP)
- Growth shares and bespoke arrangements
- Advising clients on equity tax issues in acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations:
- Including oversight and sign-off of share reward tax due diligence
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as a trusted adviser
- Working with senior management to develop and grow the equity incentives service line, locally and nationally
- Leading, coaching, and developing senior managers, managers, and trainees within the tax team
- Taking an active role in business development, including building and retaining strong networks within the local and wider market

Requirements
We are seeking candidates who:
- Are appropriately qualified and have experience working within an equity incentives/share reward tax environment
- Have experience advising on transactions or complex advisory projects (desirable but not essential)
- Are strong people managers and growth coaches, with a genuine ability to develop high-performing teams
- Possess a commercial mindset, with a genuine interest in business development and client relationship growth
- Demonstrate drive, ambition, and alignment with our values to contribute to the continued growth and success of Bishop Fleming
