Tax Investigations Director | London | Hybrid | Competitive Salary + Benefits

I am working with a range of leading professional services and accountancy firms across London, including Big Four, Top 20, Top 50 and specialist boutique practices, who are looking to appoint experienced Tax Investigations Directors to lead and grow their Tax Disputes and Investigations teams.

These opportunities are ideal for senior tax professionals who are looking to take the next step in their career, leading complex investigations, advising high-profile clients and playing a key role in the continued growth of a market-leading tax practice.

The Opportunity

Based in London, these roles provide the opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-value tax investigations and disputes in the market. You will act as a trusted adviser to a diverse client base, including high-net-worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, large corporates and international organisations, while working closely with Partners and senior leadership teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape client strategy, develop relationships, mentor teams and contribute to the wider growth and direction of the Tax Investigations practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
