The Role Outline: Your Focus at a Glance

This role is for a true tax specialist. Your primary focus is acting as the absolute guardian of our tax governance, managing corporate tax, VAT, WHT, MGD, CCL, and PSA processes across the board. You will support our Head of Financial Controls & Reporting by ensuring we meet every statutory and tax obligation. You are our resident tax expert, accountable for providing taxation reporting inputs to the Financial Statements and acting as the absolute first point of contact with external audit on all tax discussions.

Why Village?

At Village, we do hospitality differently. We are all about personality, genuine connections, and creating great experiences for our guests and each other. That is why we back our teams to take ownership, learn new skills, and grow their careers.

We need someone with serious technical tax credentials and ideally, experience navigating Private Equity environments and transactions. If you are a lateral thinker who loves solving complex tax puzzles, has the exact technical background to back it up, and wants to be part of a fun, high-energy team, we will give you the platform to thrive. Because it really does take a Village.

How The Village Thrives

We live our culture through four simple commitments:

  • We Can & We Do: We show up to make a genuine difference and do fantastic work everyday, with purpose. You will oversee all corporate tax compliance and take the lead on capital allowances calculation processes throughout the entire year.
  • We Will: Treat each other with respect and dignity. No ego, no drama. You will act as the key liaison with external tax advisors and authorities, and support HMRC annual conversations while working alongside other portfolio companies across the Blackstone portfolio.
  • We Care: We care about our impact on the business and each other. You will protect the company by monitoring changes in tax legislation, assessing their impact on the business, and ensuring adherence to internal control frameworks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
