We are working with a Lloyd’s of London Syndicate seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Finance team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing business operating in a complex and dynamic environment, offering strong exposure across tax compliance, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
The Role
Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of tax compliance and accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting while maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements. You will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support the wider tax function.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all tax compliance and accounting activities efficiently and on time
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HMRC and Lloyd’s market requirements
- Prepare and review tax returns (including VAT and corporate tax computations)
- Liaise with external tax advisors, providing supporting documentation as required
- Partner with Group Tax teams on international tax processes and projects
- Support ongoing transformation initiatives within the tax and finance function
- Maintain and enhance tax controls and risk monitoring frameworks
- Provide documentation and support for audits
- Lead or contribute to ad hoc tax projects and process improvements

About You
- Professionally qualified with 5+ years’ relevant experience
- Strong background in tax accounting and compliance
- Experience within the insurance or financial services sector, ideally the London Market
- Ideally trained within professional services (Big 4 or similar environment)
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
