Amazon Senior Tax Analyst Role

Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the EMEA Tax Department based in London or in Luxembourg to support the Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) cloud computing business, focusing on corporation tax advisory.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently whilst liaising with both the tax team and the wider AWS business as it continually expands both its offerings and footprint within EMEA. The role will focus on corporate tax matters including the interaction with withholding, indirect, transfer pricing and other tax areas.

Advising the AWS business will require the candidate to advise on a variety of topics and multiple jurisdictions in EMEA. This is a corporation tax advisory role which may include liaising with other tax and compliance functions as well as other business lines within Amazon. There will also be scope for dealing with ad-hoc enquiries and during audits.

This role can be filled in London or Luxembourg.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating tax requirements for country expansions and new program launches.
  • Providing relevant tax guidance to the business whilst working to build relationships and understanding with the business so that adherence is maintained.
  • Supporting on ad-hoc projects such as restructuring or transactions involving the AWS business.
  • Researching international tax issues and working with outside advisers as necessary as part of the tax team supporting business initiatives.
  • Engaging with outside tax advisors to support tax projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
