Tax Manager | 6-Month Contract | Waterloo, London | Hybrid (2 Days in Office)
Robert Half is supporting a leading global organisation in their search for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract based in Waterloo, London.
This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional with strong corporate/direct tax experience to join an international tax function, working across UK and European tax matters. You will play a key role in managing compliance, tax accounting, reporting requirements, and supporting wider tax initiatives within a fast-paced global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate tax compliance processes across multiple European jurisdictions
- Oversee tax compliance activities delivered by external service providers, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Prepare and review annual tax provisions for inclusion in consolidated financial statements
- Perform tax accounting analysis, including book-to-tax reconciliations and deferred tax reviews
- Maintain tax basis balance sheets and support deferred tax balance testing
- Manage tax attributes including losses, credits, and valuation allowances
- Maintain transfer pricing documentation and support intercompany agreement requirements
- Monitor changes in UK and international tax legislation and advise on potential business impacts
- Support tax planning, restructuring activities, and special tax projects
- Assist with financial reporting, audits, and SOX/internal control documentation
- Collaborate with global tax teams, finance stakeholders, and external advisers
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency within the tax function

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- 5+ years’ experience in corporate/direct tax
- Strong understanding of UK and international tax rules and compliance
- Experience with tax provisions, tax accounting, and financial reporting
- Previous experience within a Big 4 firm and/or multinational in-house tax team preferred
- Knowledge of transfer pricing, tax treaties, and intercompany transactions
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines
