What your day will look like
Mission
The Tax Manager (f/m/d) ensures full compliance with tax regulations while driving effective tax planning and optimization across the group. Acting as a trusted partner to subsidiaries, advisors, and leadership, this role delivers accurate reporting and guidance to the various subsidiaries. By anticipating regulatory changes and implementing practical compliance tools, the mission is to protect the company’s integrity, support business goals, and create long-term value.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns with the support of external tax advisors in certain countries
- Prepare tax reconciliations and calculate deferred taxes
- Collaborate to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance
- Responsible for the implementation of necessary tax compliance tools and the ongoing monitoring of compliance
- Engage with local representatives and research tax laws of new jurisdictions that the organisation may add to its serviced markets
- Provide guidance on tax-efficient structures and transactions to optimize financial positions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, sales, and executive leadership, to address tax-related matters and ensure alignment with overall business goals
- Serve as the contact person for all subsidiaries (in the context of companywide projects with tax implications and tax planning), providing guidance and mentorship
- Act as the qualified contact person for auditors and tax advisors

What you need to fulfill the role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Tax Specialist, with a focus on German tax regulations, or in the area of finance with a focus on taxes
- In-depth knowledge of German tax laws, including VAT, corporate income tax, and individual income tax
- Knowledge of tax laws in any other jurisdictions, such as the UK, France, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, Romania, Australia, New Zealand, or India, would be an advantage
- Good knowledge in accounting according to HGB
- Proven experience in tax planning and advisory services
- Profound knowledge of Excel
