Are you an experienced Tax Manager with experience leading the global tax provision process under US GAAP for a multinational corporation? Can you help us to continue to turn metals into motion?
At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our Group Head Office Tax team!
This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in our office in East Midlands or London.

The Role
As a Tax Manager you will lead the global tax provisions under US GAAP (ASC 740) for a multinational corporation. You will support managing the global quarterly and annual income tax provisions process, with specific responsibility for ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and International GAAP.
Global Tax Provision & Consolidation (ASC 740)
- Support the global quarterly and annual tax provision process, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and international GAAP where required.
- Coordinate and review tax reporting from international subsidiaries.
- Assist with consolidated tax provision reporting, including deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions.
- Conduct Effective Tax Rate (ETR) forecasting, analysis, and quarterly tax account reconciliations.
- Identify and implement process improvements through technology and automation.
SEC Reporting (10-Q & 10-K)
- Prepare detailed tax footnote disclosures (deferred tax assets/liabilities, ETR reconciliations) for SEC filings (10-Q & 10-K).
- Provide supporting documentation to the external auditors (Big 4) for tax-related audit requests.
- Analyse the tax impact of non-routine or complex transactions for financial reporting purposes.
International Tax & Audit Management
- Coordinate with external service providers on foreign tax compliance, including CIT returns, transfer pricing documentation and tax reporting.
- Support the Group Tax Director with transfer pricing, Pillar 2 modelling, and tax audit defence, as needed.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree; ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualification is essential.
- Experience: Corporate tax experience, with substantial in-house experience or Big 4 experience serving US multinational clients.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ASC 740 / IAS 12, and US SEC reporting requirements.
- Software: Proficiency in Excel (advanced level) and experience with tax software (e.g., Alphatax, ONESOURCE) and ERP systems (e.g., Hyperion, OneStream, Infor).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
