Tax Manager
Tax Manager
Overview
Looking for a challenge in one of the world’s leading airline Groups and a dual FTSE 100 and IBEX 35 listed company? The Group combines airlines in Ireland, the UK and Spain with key non-airline businesses, enabling them to enhance their presence in the aviation market.
Purpose of the role
Are you seeking a challenging opportunity within one of the world’s leading airline groups, listed on both the FTSE 100 and IBEX 35? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to assist with the in‑house tax affairs of the Group’s Loyalty division, within the Group Tax team, based in West London. This newly created role offers a stimulating and technically challenging opportunity within a large, dynamic organisation. The role requires you to be technically competent and good with people.
The IAG Group Tax team provides tax compliance and advisory services across the group. It is a relatively small group of high-performing individuals working as a team, each an expert in their own field, focused on driving results and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The UK based team works closely with a team based in Poland, a tax team based in Spain and a tax manager in Ireland. The team is led by a Group Tax Director, based in the UK.
Accountabilities
This role will play a critical part in supporting the tax affairs of IAG Loyalty (including BA Holidays), a growing part of the Group. In addition to corporation tax, the role offers exposure to indirect taxes, while also playing a meaningful role in the operation and continuous improvement of the Group’s tax control framework. The role will include, but will not be limited to:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
