Corporate Tax Manager – Public Sector
Tax & Treasury Recruitment have been engaged by a large, international public sector body to find a Tax Manager to join their specialist Group Tax team.
This is an opportunity for a proactive finance professional in Direct Tax who wishes to take ownership of global tax risks, support strategic initiatives, and ensure statutory compliance across the UK and international regions.
Your Role
Reporting directly to the Group Tax Manager, you will:
- Support all Direct Tax initiatives, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax, across the UK and international regions
- Maintain robust controls to assess and monitor global tax risks
- Contribute to the resolution of tax audits, controversies, and negotiations with tax authorities
- Work closely with finance business partners and regional colleagues to implement transfer pricing charging arrangements for intra-group services
- Assist in devising direct tax policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance across all countries

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong technical knowledge of Direct Tax Law and international tax expertise
- Demonstrated experience within multi-cultural, international organisations
- Practical understanding of:
- Transfer pricing principles
- Statutory legal entity reporting
- International tax concepts, such as permanent establishments and double tax agreements
- A degree-level education degreed (Bachelor’s or equivalent)
- A CTA, ADIT, or ATT qualification*
- Experience(handle complex negotiations or contentious issues with tax authorities
