The Tax Manager (Reward Advisory Services) role sits within the prestigious Reward Advisory Services (RAS) team—a pivotal part of our specialist Tax practice. Working closely with mid-market clients (both privately owned and backed by private equity), you’ll design and implement employee incentive arrangements tailored to their unique needs.
Our practice is built on ambition and collaboration, with hybrid working policies in place. Flexible options include reduced hours and job-sharing, giving you the option to balance your personal and professional life effectively.

Responsibilities
As Tax Manager in our national Reward Advisory Services team, you will:
- Deliver highly technical reward advice, contextualised for commercial and practical use.
- Oversee equity reward projects and implementation of share plans, plus specialised tax support for transactions like:
- Tax-advantaged share plans
- Growth share schemes
- Cash benefit plans
- Buy-side and sell-side transaction support
- Ad hoc Employee Remuneration Support (ERS) matters
- Develop bespoke solutions aligned to clients’ individual strategies, offering both technical expertise and broader structuring insight.
- Collaborate across our network, liaising with teams in Corporate Finance, Valuations, and People Advisory.
- Mentor graduates and trainees, aiding their development within the firm.
- Lead client account relationships—managing day-to-day communications and developing business opportunities.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and join in broader team business development.
Requirements
Essential
- Tax experience in Equity Reward at the managerial level.
- Qualified professional: A CTA, ATT, ACA, or equivalent qualification (or qualified lawyer).
- Proven track record in designing and implementing employee incentive plans.
Desirable
- An ability to fulfill technical expertise for more complex remuneration schemes.
- Clear record of excellent client service, including effective time management during tight deadlines.
- Experience (or eagerness to develop) in proactive project management—proven billing and fee-first approaches encouraged.
- Documentation and modelling skills, involving drafting (or reviewing) implementation materials.
