This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards.WHAT YOU WILL DO STERIS is seeking an experienced professional in European tax matters, with broad International and US GAAP experience who will bring value to STERIS in a variety of areas including accounting for income taxes, compliance, foreign audits, tax planning, and special projects. This position will support the EMEA Finance Leadership team with all tax matters for the relevant legal entities in the North Region. This includes entities in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands and South Africa.Duties The Tax Manager will support Finance Leadership in the North region, by being a main contact point with responsibility for the following:

Prepare as needed, or review accounting for local country income taxes, relating to entities in relevant supported finance teams. Entities include those noted in position summary; support includes assistance with / review of international tax packages, foreign tax account reconciliations, and tax related financial reporting requirements. Assist with documentation and support of tax policies and procedures to comply with Sarbanes Oxley for entities in relevant supported finance teams. Assist with management and monitoring of corporation tax compliance (including corporation tax returns, quarterly payments (including calculation of UK group payments), etc. as needed) for entities in the relevant supported finance teams, including coordinating with service providers and monitoring due dates. Maintain main relationship with HMRC related to corporate income tax matters and business risk reviews Assist with support of tax return positions for entities in relevant supported finance teams. Support business units, other global corporate functions, and foreign locations in minimizing local country income taxes for entities in relevant supported finance teams. Support business development through minimization of tax on cross-border acquisitions/dispositions for entities in relevant supported finance teams. Manage from a tax perspective, other special projects as needed including advising on the tax consequences of integrating acquired entities Education Degree Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required Experience Minimum of 7+ years of corporate tax with specialization in European tax matters for at least 5 years. Public accounting experience is a plus. Preferred Experience Dynamic, high-growth environment requiring a fast pace. Extensive computer experience required (Oracle experience is a plus). Must possess strong managerial, organizational, verbal / written communication, research and problem-solving skills. Overtime is necessary during peak compliance and reporting periods.
