Tax Manager

Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you’ll fully immerse yourself in our experienced Tax team, providing great advice to clients in a fast-paced, engaging, creative, and rewarding environment.

You’ll:

  • Work closely with our Tax Partners, adding value to the exceptional work we deliver to a varied portfolio of larger and more complex compliance clients
  • Deliver tax advisory work to business owners, including:
    • Tax planning
    • Advising on acquisition and disposal of businesses and properties
    • Inheritance tax and estate planning
  • Handle HMRC enquiries and investigations, including:
    • Report writing
    • Financial analysis
    • Technical research
  • Provide a technical resource to our network of smaller accountants through phone or email support
  • Support with the management, training, and development of junior team members

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

To thrive in this role and accept a new challenge, you should:

  • Love working in a collaborative and progressive environment
  • Excel at building relationships and being a fantastic communicator
  • Be ACCA/ACA/CTA qualified, with at least five years of PQE gained in Tax practice
  • Have solid experience advising OMBs on:
    • Corporation Tax
    • Income Tax
    • Capital Gains Tax
  • Ideally, have exposure to VAT issues
  • Maintain a proactive attitude
  • Be confident in working alongside the team to achieve great outcomes
