Tax Partner Designate

Tax Partner Designate – Gravesend, Kent

About the Role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a firm of chartered accountants seeking a Tax Partner Designate to join their team in Gravesend, Kent.

This position is tailored to your experience, skills, and career aspirations, offering flexibility to focus on personal tax, corporate tax, or a mixed role.

As a Tax Partner Designate, you will collaborate closely with Tax Partners and wider Partners, overseeing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses. You’ll benefit from strong team support while enjoying autonomy in managing your workload.


Key Responsibilities

Client & Portfolio Management

  • Work with a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, tailored to your expertise
  • Develop tax-efficient strategies for clients, including:
    • Personal tax: Dividend planning, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), trusts, non-doms, Venture Capital Trusts (VCT), Inheritance Tax (IHT)
    • Corporate tax: Basic tax planning, cross-border tax structuring, deal tax structuring, restructuring, Research & Development (R&D), Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), capital allowances
  • Oversee junior tax staff, ensuring their performance aligns with firm standards

Requirements

  • Qualification: CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) or ACA (lodged or qualified), or equivalent
  • Experience:
    • Strong background in tax with a passion for serving public/third-sector clients
    • Proven customer-facing experience in professional services
    • demonstrated ability in client relationship management, handling busy workloads
    • Interest in generating fee-paying work through client relationships
    • Experience at Tax Manager or Associate Director level (or proven equivalent capability)
