Your new role
As Tax Senior Manager - Equity Rewards & Venture Capital Schemes, you will be a key leader within the tax team, responsible for delivering specialist advice to a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses, investors and private equity-backed organisations.
You'll combine deep technical expertise with commercial insight, helping clients design and implement tax-efficient incentive arrangements while navigating the complexities of venture capital tax reliefs and employee ownership structures.
- Leading and growing a specialist portfolio of clients across equity incentives and venture capital tax schemes.
- Advising on the implementation of EMI, CSOP, Growth Share and wider employee share ownership arrangements.
- Providing strategic advice on SEIS, EIS and Venture Capital Trust (VCT) opportunities.
- Supporting high-growth and private equity-backed businesses through funding rounds, transactions and growth events.
- Acting as a recognised technical expert within the firm, providing both strategic and technical guidance to colleagues and clients.
- Driving the financial performance and growth of client engagements and projects.
- Building strong relationships with founders, investors, management teams and private equity houses.
- Leading business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities within the market.
- Delivering thought leadership through webinars, articles, networking events and industry presentations.
- Collaborating with specialists across the wider tax and advisory teams to provide joined-up client solutions.
- Coaching, mentoring and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
- Supporting the strategic development of the service line and contributing to the future direction of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll be a confident and commercially minded tax professional with significant experience advising clients on equity incentives and venture capital tax reliefs.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least seven years' experience in tax advisory services.
- Strong technical expertise in employee share incentives and venture capital tax schemes.
- Proven experience advising on EMI, CSOP, Growth Shares, SEIS, EIS and VCT structures.
- Experience working with high-growth businesses, entrepreneurial companies and private equity-backed organisations.
- Knowledge of private equity transactions, fundraising activity and corporate restructurings.
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- A commercial mindset with a track record of identifying and converting business development opportunities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly and confidently.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, combined with a genuine passion for helping clients and colleagues succeed.
