Tax Senior Specialist
A prestigious investment company based in London is seeking a tax specialist to join the Operations Department as it embarks on exciting projects across Europe and manage SPVs’ worldwide taxes. Role Objectives As part of the tax team, the tax specialist will assist tax manager in managing the tax compliance process and providing tax advisory support in relation to investments. The tax specialist will play a critical role in managing a wide range of tax compliance matters for SPVs across various jurisdictions. In addition to ensuring comprehensive tax compliance, this role also involves tax advisory support in relation to investments across Europe. The tax specialist will assist in advising on tax structuring, coordinating strategic tax initiatives to align with the company’s objectives, and ensuring adherence to the group tax policy.
Key Accountabilities: · Assist in managing a wide range of tax compliance matters for SPVs, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings and compliance · Review tax computations and monitor the reporting process · Work collaboratively with the accounting team to advise on tax accounting entries · Work with external tax advisors and internal teams to support the oversight and review of tax compliance across various jurisdictions · Assist tax manager to provide tax advisory support to the business and M&A projects · Provide support in handling tax enquiries and potential disputes with the relevant tax authority in conjunction with external advisers · Assist tax manager in managing and coordinating the timely tax advice on enquires raised by other teams · Assist in drafting and communicating tax reports to HQ where necessary · Assist tax manager with other general tax related works where necessary

Requirements Experience/Skills · 1-3 years tax work experience within an accounting or law firm, or in the industry · Strong understanding of tax compliance processes and requirements · Adequate knowledge and experience of corporation tax and VAT related issues · Adequate knowledge of Transfer Pricing and practical experience · Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving skills · Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment · A proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, with a willingness to engage in hands on work · Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines · Written and verbal Mandarin proficiency is preferred

Qualifications · Bachelor/Master degree in Taxation or Accounting, or a related field, and · Qualified or partially qualified UK/EU tax advisor is preferred
