Tax Senior

Hybrid Working | Excellent Career Development | £55,000-£60,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're partnering with a growing, forward-thinking firm that is looking to appoint a knowledgeable Tax Senior to support a varied portfolio of SME and startup clients.

This role is being recruited immediately, so candidates who are available immediately or on short notice will be prioritised.

What You'll Be Doing

As the tax specialist within the team, you'll work alongside colleagues to provide expert guidance that helps businesses remain compliant while making informed financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing specialist advice on UK corporation tax, VAT and personal tax matters for owner-managed businesses.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax returns and calculations, ensuring all work is accurate and compliant with current legislation.
  • Identifying opportunities for clients to improve tax efficiency through effective planning and available reliefs.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for tax-related queries and providing clear, practical solutions.
  • Supporting startup and small business clients with wider financial and operational guidance, including advice on business structures and accounting processes.
  • Keeping up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and sharing relevant updates with clients and colleagues.
  • Assisting new clients in selecting the most appropriate tax and business structure from the outset.
  • Helping to develop internal resources and best practice guidance to maintain a consistent, high-quality advisory service.
  • Contributing ideas to enhance internal processes and improve the overall client journey.

About You

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA.
  • Previous experience supporting SMEs, startups or owner-managed businesses within an accountancy practice or advisory environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, VAT and personal taxation.
