Role Title: Tax Expert
Location: London, UK
Work Mode: Hybrid (10 days onsite per month)
Contract Duration: 3–6 Months (based on project needs and performance)
Role Overview
Infosys is hiring an experienced Tax Expert for its client Xero. This role requires a finance and tax professional with strong expertise in tax accounting, tax filing, and business finance to support AI-driven financial data initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, helping define financial taxonomies, validate AI-generated outputs, and ensure alignment with tax legislation and accounting best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design annotation guidelines for financial and tax-related datasets.
- Advise engineering teams on financial data taxonomies.
- Provide expertise in financial accounting and tax-related tools.
- Review AI-generated financial outputs and identify inaccuracies, edge cases, hallucinations, and potential bias.
- Bridge the gap between technical teams and tax legislation requirements.
- Support the development of accurate AI training datasets.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting principles.
- Work independently while managing project deliverables and deadlines.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- CPA, CA, CPB, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong practical experience in Tax Accounting.
- Experience with Tax Filing and Tax Return preparation.
- Good understanding of Business Finance.
- Strong knowledge of Debit and Credit concepts.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Audit-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently.
