Job description
About WTS
“We’re setting out to reshape the future of tax advisory - one that’s better for clients, and better for advisers.”
WTS UK is a new non-audit tax advisory firm offering the full range of services to large and listed businesses.
We take a fresh approach to tax advisory - unafraid to offer bold perspectives on complex issues. We provide clear, actionable advice, demonstrating what’s possible when a firm is purpose-built for today’s environment.
Modern, focused, and powered by senior expertise, we are an AI-native firm, designed from the ground up with technology at the core of how we work - not as an afterthought, but as a foundation.
In practice, that means we have no legacy systems to work around, no audit conflicts restricting which tools we can use, and the freedom to curate the best external platforms for every client need. We move quickly, onboarding new technology in weeks, not months or years.
We are proud to be part of WTS, headquartered in Munich, and connected through WTS Global, a network spanning 100 countries. We combine international reach with entrepreneurial agility.
We are seeking a Tax Technology Transformation Manager / Senior Manager to help our clients modernise their tax functions.
You will lead the design and delivery of technology-enabled tax solutions for large and listed businesses, helping them modernise their tax functions in response to increasing regulatory complexity, digital reporting mandates and the increasing strategic use of data.
This role combines deep tax technical knowledge with digital capability. You will work closely with clients to reimagine processes, implement automation and data-driven solutions, and embed AI-enabled tools into tax operations.
This is a unique opportunity to join a modern, AI-native tax advisory firm, working directly with senior leaders and high-profile clients in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment to transform how tax functions operate today. Because we operate without audit conflicts or proprietary constraints, you can recommend and implement the best solutions for each client.
Job requirements
- CTA, ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (or equivalent experience in tax technology transformation)
- Strong understanding of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting processes
- Experience delivering tax technology or finance transformation projects
- Practical knowledge of ERP systems, tax reporting tools and automation technologies (e.g. ONESOURCE, Alteryx, SAP, or similar)
- Understanding of digital tax developments including Pillar Two, BEPS, Making Tax Digital and global minimum tax reporting requirements
- Ability to bridge tax technical expertise with data, systems and process design
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver practical advice
- Experience managing client relationships and stakeholders across tax, finance and technology functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative mindset aligned with our culture
What will set you apart
- You stay on top of what’s emerging in tax technology and AI, and you don’t just read about it – you use it. You’re already applying AI tools in your daily work, and you can see how they change what’s possible for tax functions
- You have an opinion on how tax technology should work, informed by experience
- You understand that data quality and architecture are the foundation for any successful transformation, and you’ve advised on data governance in a tax context
- You’ve evaluated and selected technology solutions based on what’s best for the client, not just what’s available in-house
- You lead change, not just implementation, and bring people and organisations with you
- You think commercially about how technology changes the economics of tax delivery, not just the processes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
