About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Tax Writer specialising in Inheritance Tax to join Tolley, a leading tax research provider. In this role, you’ll co-create:

  • Practical guidance on IHT, trusts, and estates
  • In-depth research content
  • AI-driven tools to support tax professionals

You’ll collaborate with an expert and supportive team, contributing to Tolley’s strategic direction in tax solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Write and update comprehensive content for Tolley+ covering:
    • Deep-dive research material
    • Practical guidance
    • AI tool support (including inheritance tax guidance)
  • Partner with Tolley’s Commissioning team on externally commissioned IHT content
  • Advise the Director of Content and broader team on future tax research strategy

Requirements

  • Qualified as a CTA/STEP professional (or equivalent)
  • Deep technical knowledge of:
    • Inheritance Tax (IHT)
    • Trusts and estates
    • Personal Tax (advisory and compliance)
  • Exceptional writing skills: Technical expertise balanced with clarity; ability to simplify complexity
  • Professional communication: Translating legal/tax jargon into actionable insights
