Description
We are looking for a talented Test & Development (T&D) Engineer to join our high-performance engineering team.
As a T&D Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and analysing test activities within your specialist area. Working closely with Design, Structures, and Planning teams, you’ll translate engineering requirements into robust and effective test programmes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical test programmes that directly support the development and performance of our Formula One cars.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing detailed test plans, including rig setups, instrumentation, and execution strategies.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable testing solutions.
- Managing test schedules, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of objectives.
- Supporting the design and specification of new test rigs, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Conducting analysis of test data and implementing improvements to methods and tools.
- Producing clear, structured reports and communicating results to stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to improve test efficiency, processes, and data quality.
- Providing regular progress updates and highlighting risks or issues proactively.
- Maintaining strong documentation standards and ensuring data is stored for future use.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience in a motorsport or high-performance engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and applied physics.
- Knowledge of sensor technologies, data acquisition systems, and data analysis.
- Experience developing analysis tools or scripts (e.g. Python, MATLAB).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
