Paediatric Nurse – Clinical Educator
Join our Community Nursing Teaching Team as a Clinical Educator at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust—an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Paediatric Nurse who is compassionate, dynamic, and passionate about supporting children with complex health needs.
About the Role
This Clinical Educator position requires an experienced Paediatric Nurse with robust clinical experience in paediatric care, including managing complex cases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate and design the annual training program for all staff involved in the care of children with complex needs in partnership with the Trainer Co-ordinator (South).
- Deliver a scalable, evidence-based approach to training across North, Bolsover, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, North Amber Valley, High Peak, and North East Derbyshire districts.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams (e.g. healthcare, social care, and education partners) to support health, education, and well-being for children with complex health needs and epilepsy.
- Develop and deliver bespoke training programs tailored to multi-agency staff.
- Ensure training aligns with NICE guidelines, CQC standards, and best practice in paediatric care.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid NMC-registered nurses with Paediatric Specialist Skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Paediatric Nursing, including handling complex medical cases.
- Ability to influence and lead training initiatives across multiple teams.
- Strong collaborative and organisational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in educational training & change management (advantageous).
- Knowledge of NICE, CQC, and HCPC standards in child health care.
