Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week | Term Time Only | Permanent

Salary: £21,501 – £38,628 per annum

Ty Trafle School, part of Priority Childcare (a sister company to Orbis Education & Care), is seeking a passionate and committed Teacher to join our dedicated team in Swansea. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a specialist setting where relationships, wellbeing and personalised learning are at the heart of everything we do.

Ty Trafle School supports children and young people with Autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and complex barriers to learning. Our therapeutic, nurturing environment helps pupils feel safe, understood and empowered to achieve their potential — and our staff play a vital role in making that happen.

About The Role

As a Teacher at Ty Trafle School, you will deliver engaging, tailored learning experiences that meet the individual needs of your pupils. Working closely with learning support assistants, therapists, care staff and families, you will help create a positive and inclusive classroom where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons aligned to individual learning needs
  • Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Using positive behaviour support strategies in line with school policies
  • Monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and parents/carers
  • Supporting pupils’ wellbeing, including personal care where required
  • Promoting safeguarding, equality and inclusion at all times

Essential

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (A*–C or equivalent), including English and Maths
  • A child-centred approach and passion for inclusive education
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to support complex needs
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Desirable

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with Autism, SEMH or additional learning needs
  • Confidence working within a multidisciplinary team
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning
