About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher to join the friendly team at Brede Primary School and cover maternity leave from January 2027.
- Working Pattern: Full-time
- Hours of Work: Full-time teachers hours
- Pay Scale: ECT/MPS is preferred
- Closing Date: 12:00 pm, Wednesday 23 September 2026
- Start Date: January 2027
- Location: Base in a Year 3/4 class
- Suitable for: Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
The Successful Candidate is expected to:
- Have sufficient experience teaching Key Stage 2.
- Possess a hardworking, conscientious demeanour, with enjoyment derived from school life, enthusiasm, resilience, and a good sense of humour.
- Exhibit excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of the curriculum.
- Take a creative, reflective approach to teaching that motivates, challenges, and supports every child.
- Be adaptable in learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including pupils with additional needs.
- Demonstrate a nurturing, emotionally intelligent approach to children’s social and emotional wellbeing.
- Build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
- Exhibit a kind, patient, intuitive, and positive approach to teaching and learning.
- Commit to professional development.

Requirements and Further Information

- Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory before commencement.
- Candidates will also have to complete a disqualification declaration.
Regulations adherence: The school follows the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018, meaning all prospective employees cannot be disqualified under these regulations when appointing.
