We are looking for an inspirational PE Teacher to join our new school in Hastings, delivering an academic and emotional education to pupils aged 11–16.

The Role
You will be a dedicated, passionate, and fundamentally talented PE Teacher, with an acute understanding of health, physical activity, and laughter.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching & Learning
- Deliver creative, engaging physical education lessons across years 7–11.
- Measure and track progress, ensuring meticulous record-keeping and reports.
- Embrace and cascade new pedagogical practices, integrating technology and inclusive strategies as necessary.

Curriculum & Pastoral Leadership
- Contribute to or lead the development of a higher-than-anticipated PE curriculum.
- Support peer pastoral responsibilities, including focusing on pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

- Engage in ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Join our academy team in reviewing and enhancing school-wide policies and practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues to help create a vibrant, uma(transformative) academic and sporting culture.
Role Requirements
Essential Skills
✓ Proven teaching experience (preferably secondary PE or cross-phase). ✓ Demonstrated ability to inspire students with lesson content, empathy, and effectiveness. ✓ Strong commitment to the well-being and attainment of all learners. ✓ Research-informed practice, able to reflect on and refine your approaches.
Desirable Experience
🔹 Additional qualified, informal sports coaching credentials. 🔹 Evidence of leading extracurricular activities or school sports teams. 🔹 Prior experience in working with alternative or additional needs learners.
