Teacher of Travel and Tourism

This role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher of Travel and Tourism to join our team and make a real difference to the lives and future careers of our learners. We have full or part-time opportunities. Please state in your application your preference.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and deliver engaging, high-quality learning experiences that inspire, challenge and support learners to achieve their full potential.
  • Use a variety of innovative teaching approaches and learning strategies.
  • Create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that meets the diverse needs of our students.

You will play a key role in:

  • Shaping and developing the curriculum.
  • Monitoring learner progress.
  • Providing meaningful feedback and assessment to help learners succeed both in college and during work-based learning opportunities.
  • Working closely with colleagues and industry partners.

Working closely with colleagues and industry partners, you will support learners to achieve ambitious goals and develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for future success.

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning, delivering, and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles.
  • Taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs.
  • Assessing learners' progress in college or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the travel and tourism sector is essential to the role.
  • Enthusiasm, resilience, and highly motivated
  • Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2
  • A Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).
  • Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment.
  • Relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1
  • Evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
