Head of Inclusion (Please Note: This is a Special Edition Role) – Special Applications Only

About the Role

Freeman’s Endowed Junior CE Academy is a friendly, inclusive, nurturing school built on a big family feel, where every child is treated with kindness, respect, and understanding. Our students thrive because we provide an ambitious curriculum, ensuring every child receives the best possible education. We take pride in our close partnership with St Barnabas School, our feeder infant school, where both institutions share the same Headteacher and Leadership Team.

Our leadership remains highly attentive to staff wellbeing and workload, fostering a positively collaborative and supportive working environment. Now, we’re seeking a dedicated Special Inclusion Teacher and Phase Leader to help our most vulnerable pupils flourish.

This unique role involves delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group support in Key Stage 2, with a key focus on Maths and English for children who may have SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). Additionally, there’s the opportunity to take on extra 3 afternoons of mainstream teaching across the year group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluating individualised learning programmes for children with additional needs in Key Stage 2, with a focus on Maths and English.
  • Provide high-quality first teaching that is ambitious, inclusive, and differentiated for all pupils.
  • Identify and implement appropriately specialised strategies to support SEND pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with SEND Coordinators (SENDCOs), class teachers, therapists (where applicable) and the Leadership Team to meet pupil needs.
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies.
  • Monitor progress and ensure SEND support plans are tracked effectively and adjusted as needed.
  • Contribute to the writing of SEND and Inclusion Policies, observing school guidance.
  • Take on extra teaching responsibilities, including 3 afternoon sessions in Key Stage 2.
  • Play an active role in our inclusive school community, promoting the Church and Trust ethos.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
