SEN Teacher – Specialist Provision – Edgware

Full Time | Temporary to Permanent | September 2026 Start

Paid to Scale | MPS/UPS

Long Term Futures are recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Edgware from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary-trained Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to work within a specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering personalised learning and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Adapt learning to meet individual needs, including those outlined in EHCPs
  • Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider SEN team
  • Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
  • Promote students' academic, social and emotional development

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Primary teaching qualification and experience – essential
  • Previous experience teaching within an SEN or specialist provision – essential
  • Strong understanding of Autism (ASD), ADHD, communication needs and complex learning needs
  • Excellent behaviour management and classroom practice
  • A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach

Location & Transport – Edgware, North West London

  • Accessible via Edgware Station (Northern Line)
  • Close to Burnt Oak and Canons Park (Jubilee Line)
  • Bus routes: 79, 107, 113, 186, 221, 240, 288, 292, 303
