Queen Elizabeth's School is looking for a Teacher of English to join our fantastic English department. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £31,650 - £49,084 per annum per annum (M1 to UP3)

Start Date: 1 September 2025

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our upper school. We are on a journey of rapid improvement and want inquisitive, positive, dynamic, and resilient colleagues to join our excellent English department.

Our thriving department is currently recruiting for a Teacher of English. The department is very well-resourced, and there will be the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages.

Ideally, We Would Like To Appoint Someone Who Has

  • An awareness of Rosenshine’s principles of instruction
  • An understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in English Language and English Literature
  • An awareness of some of the concepts explored in Tom Sherrington’s ‘Walkthru’ series or Doug Lemov’s ‘Teach Like a Champion’ series.
